Major Duties
Under general supervision, the Guest Services Coordinator is responsible for daily oversight of Guest Services and Guest Housing and coordinates logistical details for summer conference operations. The incumbent is responsible for hiring, training, and overseeing of 2-3 Student Information Booth Assistants and 11-13 Conference Assistants.
- Responsible for oversight of Student Conference Assistants and Crew, including scheduling and timekeeping, delegation of tasks, monitoring workflow, and facilitating team building activities; coordinates logistical details for summer conference operations; collaborate with conference group leaders and negotiate contracts for use of housing facilities; responsible for encoding, assigning, testing, and distributing card access keys for conference guests.
- Writes and recommends Guest Housing License Agreement with revisions to the terms and conditions as appropriate to ensure the appropriate agreement and protection of the University facilities; manages daily check-in and check-out for guests including issuing keys, receiving payment, notifying guests of departmental policies, and picking-up guest keys upon check-out.
- Responsible for overseeing Information Booth operations and student assistants: including scheduling and timekeeping, delegation of tasks, monitoring workflow, and facilitating team building activities during business hours; ensuring there is effective communication between Conference Services, DPS, and the CSO student leads concerning the day-to-night transitions in the Information Booth
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field.
- Equivalent to two (2) years of full-time, technical, analytical, or administrative experience.
- Additional experience in the job-related field may be substituted for required education, on a year-for-year basis.
- Valid California Driver’s License is required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Working knowledge of general practices, program, and/or administrative specialty.
- Ability and specialized skills to: interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures; perform basic research and statistical analysis; analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistics; compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty; communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Proficient in using standard office and financial software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of Star Rez Conference module preferred.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

- Classification: Administrative Analyst/Specialist / 1038 / 1
- The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $3879 - $4768 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $3879 - $7488 per month.
- HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Mid-August through May) & 11:00 am to 8:00 pm Sunday to Thursday (June through mid-August).
- This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
- Will be required to operate carts and other vehicles, as needed, across campus and Housing complex in the performance of duties.
- The individual hired for this role will physically work on-campus in Northridge. This is not a telecommute position.
