Major Duties

Under general supervision, the Registration Specialist is responsible for comprehensive registration and enrollment processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across degree, certificate, Open University, Summer and Winter Sessions, Special Sessions, and non-credit programs. Handles complex enrollment issues in coordination with the Office of the Registrar. Conducts thorough audits and reconciliations of enrollment data, ensuring alignment between academic and financial records. Develops and maintains accurate student records within institutional databases, ensuring timely updates and maintenance. Serves as a Designated School Official (DSO), managing immigration-related processes such as issuing I-20 forms and maintaining Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) compliance. Provides outstanding customer service by effectively addressing inquiries via multiple communication channels, including phone, email, virtual appointments, and in-person visits.

  • Oversees registration and enrollment inquiries related to degree, certificate, and non-credit programs.
  • Independently coordinates audit and reconciliation of enrollment data.
  • Creates and maintains student records in SOLAR and campus databases.
  • Serves as a Designated School Official (DSO), issuing I-20s and handling SEVIS inquiries.
  • Addresses inquiries via phone, email, virtual appointments, and in-person visits.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field.
  • Equivalent to two (2) years of full-time, technical, analytical, or administrative experience.
  • Additional experience in a job-related field may be substituted for required education on a year-for-year basis.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong ability to interpret, apply, and communicate institutional and enrollment policies effectively, resolving complex issues related to registration and student record accuracy.
  • Proficient analytical skills to perform detailed audits, reconcile enrollment data, and ensure compliance with academic, financial, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, capable of providing accurate and timely assistance via phone, email, virtual platforms, and in-person interactions.
  • Advanced proficiency in information management systems, including SOLAR and Quick Admit, with the capability to manage, update, and troubleshoot complex student records and technical issues.
  • Student Information System (PeopleSoft) experience and working knowledge with the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) compliance issues/processes in a campus-based International Student Services office is a plus.

 

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver, and more.
  • Classification: Administrative Analyst/Specialist / 1038 / 1
  • The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $3879 - $5054 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $3879 - $7488 per month.
  • HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
  • This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period. 
  • The position is currently hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
