Major Duties

Under general supervision, the Volleyball Player Statistician Analyst focuses on capturing, analyzing, and interpreting video data to optimize team and player performance. This role transforms real-time insights into actionable feedback and contributes valuable reports that support the coaching staff in both programs.

  • Works with video data to provide accurate information to improve performance in live time of practice and during games.
  • Maintains and improves knowledge about the software to analyze data from video of both men’s and women’s volleyball programs.
  • Presents reports to the Head Coach for both programs based on the data that was collected and analyzed.
  • Understands and has knowledge about men’s and women's volleyball.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Relevant education and/or experience that demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of performance analysis methods, volleyball statistics, and data-driven evaluation techniques used to assess player and team performance during practices and competitions.
  • Skill in utilizing video analysis software and related technology to collect, interpret, and summarize performance data for both men’s and women’s volleyball programs.
  • Ability to prepare and present accurate, detailed performance reports and communicate findings effectively to coaching staff.
  • Ability to apply analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills in real time to support performance improvement during games and practices.

 

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • Classification: Sports Information Professional I / 0806 / 1
  • The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $1143 - $1313 (Part-Time equivalent) per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $1143 - $1665 (Part-Time equivalent) per month.
  • HOURS: Part-time, 10 hours per week.
  • This is a Temporary position; end date to be determined.
  • The individual hired for this role will physically work on-campus in Northridge. This is not a telecommute position.
