Major Duties
Under general supervision, the position engages in admission document processing and provides responsive, accurate front-facing support to students and the public. Responsibilities are performed using systems such as SOLAR, OnBase, and Microsoft Office, with emphasis on accuracy, communication, and student service.
- Interacts and provides timely Domestic Undergraduate admission information with our CSUN campus community.
- Provides customer service through a variety of media, though the office’s front counter reception area is the primary site.
- Assists domestic and international students by referral to Admissions Advisors or other offices on campus as needed.
- Reviews application data for admission, log in, and scan documents and test scores, interpret and enter data in SOLAR.
- Prepares admission documents and engages with applicants and students through our various email accounts during the admissions cycle.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Equivalent to four (4) years of full-time, general office clerical and administrative support experience that has provided the applicant with the knowledge and abilities listed.
- Equivalent to full-time college or university education/vocational school training in business or job-related field may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required experience on a year for year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to effectively interact with a diverse student population, staff, and faculty across multiple communication channels.
- Ability to interpret and clearly explain complex policies and procedures, while recognizing when to provide referrals to admissions advisors or other university offices.
- Strong data entry and record-keeping skills with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail when reconciling discrepancies.
- Ability to interpret, verify, and update student records in compliance with university policies and deadlines.
- Knowledge of university admissions policies, procedures, and requirements, with emphasis on transfer admission criteria and related student services.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining data integrity.
- Proficiency in reviewing and verifying documents for accuracy and completeness.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

- Classification: Admin Support Coordinator / 1035 / Grade 1
- The anticipated HIRING RATE is $3864. The salary range for this classification is: $3864 - $6072 per month.
- HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
