Major Duties

Under general supervision, the Graduate Studies Senior Analyst provides extensive support through independent programming and systems development. The role ensures effective collaboration with IT teams, maintains graduate applications, and delivers specialized training.

  • Independently develops and programs custom department application for Graduate programs in CollegeNet system.
  • Develops programs and implements Master’s and Doctoral programs into Uachieve system (DPR/Degree Progress Report).
  • Coordinates/oversees the day-to-day operations of the Graduate Evaluation team.
  • Compiles, monitors, and prepares data reports on graduate enrollment, applications, and yield data each semester.
  • Troubleshoots Uachieve system and initiates software repairs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience.
  • Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Thorough and advanced knowledge of business and academic information systems analysis, application development, and system integration within a higher education environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of student information systems, degree progress reporting systems (e.g., uAchieve/DPR), application management platforms (e.g., CollegeNet), and document management/workflow systems (e.g., OnBase).
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system, data, and programming issues across multiple platforms.
  • Advanced programming and configuration skills to develop, implement, and maintain graduate applications, curriculum encoding, and degree audit systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment and discretion in resolving sensitive academic and student-related issues.

 

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver and more.
  • Classification: 1344 / Business Systems Analyst III / Grade 1
  • The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $ 7371- $ 8500 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $ 7284 - $ 10,611 per month.
  • HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday. May include evenings and weekends.  
  • This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period. 
  • The individual hired for this role will physically work on-campus in Northridge. This is not a telecommute position.
