Major Duties

Under general supervision, the Fundraising Associate, DNCBE supports fundraising operations through donor stewardship, prospect research, portfolio analysis, communications, event coordination, and administrative support while maintaining development records, monitoring budgets, coordinating travel and meetings, and advancing engagement initiatives that strengthen philanthropic relationships.

 

  • Collaborates with three fundraisers and the Executive Director, identifies and implements effective donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to support faculty, department chairs, and the University Advancement team.
  • Conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis of donor portfolios to support data-driven stewardship strategies aligned with donor giving levels and engagement history; gathers, reviews, and analyzes information, and provides recommendations.
  • Performs prospect research and data segmentation to identify, qualify, and prioritize prospective donors, generating targeted prospect lists and analytical insights to support fundraising strategy and campaign initiatives.
  • Maintains and tracks scholarship information and funds, including overseeing and updating gift agreements and working with departments to maintain compliance with gift agreements.
  • Assists with planning and implementation of College events ranging from conferences, commencement celebrations, lectures, donor recognition events, special alumni gatherings, and community programs; monitors timelines, provides updates, and reports for multiple events, projects, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience.
  • Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills to evaluate donor, alumni, and fundraising data and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Communicates effectively with donors, campus partners, and external stakeholders through professional written and verbal communication.
  • Organizes multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Applies sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential donor and institutional information.
  • Utilizes fundraising databases, Microsoft Office applications, and enterprise systems to prepare reports and maintain records.
  • Builds collaborative relationships while providing exceptional customer service and supporting fundraising and engagement initiatives.

 

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver, and more.
  • Classification: Code 0512 / Advancement Professional II / Grade 1
  • The anticipated HIRING RATE is $5274 per month. The salary range for this classification is: $5274 - $7684 per month.
  • HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday. May include evenings and weekends.  
  • This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
