CalFresh & Wellness Coordinator

The CalFresh Outreach Coordinator serves as a case coordinator by monitoring incoming referrals for food assistance, overseeing their progression, and completing action plans and/or any follow-up necessary. The Outreach Coordinator responds to referrals, develops and coordinates interventions through appropriate resources, meets and follows-up with students, and tracks student completion of recommendations. They will work closely with campus resource providers, clinicians, counselors, health educators, student affairs units/departments, academic affairs and other departments in coordinating responses that meet the needs of individual students of concern. |

As an integral member of the Student Affairs management team, the Deputy Dean of Students plays a lead role in supporting the wellbeing of all students by serving as point for critical incidents involving students, leading a portfolio responsible for intervening and assisting when students are experiencing difficulties, and mediating/resolving high level student issues and concerns. The Deputy Dean of Students will regularly bring campus leadership together in order to reduce barriers to student success and ensure that programs, services, and initiatives are culturally relevant. New Student Programs & Family Engagement Assistant

This position will assist in the planning and implementation of the live in-person and virtual orientation events that welcome and support the transition of new freshmen and transfer students to Cal Poly Pomona, as well as their parents and families. This position will also review, monitor, support, and provide general oversight of the asynchronous online orientation modules. Given the focus on program and session development, this position will require knowledge of student development, including culturally relevant identity conscious frameworks, some administrative planning, and coordination with campus partners within the Division of Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Cultural Centers, Student Services, and additional campus resources. |

The Senior Outreach Counselor will provide comprehensive outreach services that include the timely and accurate dissemination of information about Cal Poly Pomona, the CPP admissions process, and the California State University to students, parents, campus constituents, and the external community. The Senior Outreach Counselor will serve as the Lead for all department outreach counselors and will assist with the onboarding and training of newly hired outreach counselors, including ongoing training and identifying professional development objectives.
