University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Full Time, Non-Exempt, Benefited position through 12/31/2024 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). 

Salary: $3,119.94-$6,066.55 per month

Location: Hybrid position with allowable work from home options. Main office locations either Temecula or Downtown San Bernadino. Additional onsite assistance will be required as needed for training outreach offices and conferences within the two counties.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 8:00AM - 5:00PM though some nights, weekend work may be required.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the IESBDC Director, the Training Coordinator will work independently to:

  • Work with Business Consultants to plan and coordinate all training events held by the IESBDC. Provide support to special programs, such as the SBDC conferences,
  • Marketplace vendor days and other events. Position includes compilation, promotion, and tracking of monthly, quarterly, and annual training events.
  • Market SBDC training programs to the local business and civic community, to include, but not limited to the following methods: direct mail, networking, public relations and press releases, public speaking, and Internet.
  • Produce marketing materials for events, to include flyers and brochures.
  • Assist staff and pro bono business consultants in the development of training programs and materials. Secure guest speakers for events.
  • Interface with training program participants to include taking attendee registrations, making confirmation calls, follow up with surveys, and provide superior customer service.
  • Prepare all the required paperwork and forms for seminars. Provide all program reporting and maintain training and client databases. Reports to include survey data, government mandated reports, and financial reports for training events.
  • Prepare and manage training promotion budget.
  • Local travel between both Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Experience/Other:
    • Required computer skills including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Windows, Constant Contact, Zoom, Canva, social media.
    • Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal skills, and telephone etiquette.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to give public
      presentations.
    • Knowledge of basic small business principles and ability to recruit and prepare volunteer presenters is important.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
