School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)- Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
Under supervision, Instructional Student Assistants (ISA) in this classification perform grading, tutoring, and/ or laboratory assistance duties for most work hours in a given appointment in the School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) over the course of an academic term. Assignments are made by the School of Computer Science and Engineering department or a CSE faculty member at California State University, San Bernardino. The work may be performed on campus and the hours assigned must be approved by the Director of CSE.
Department of Biology Teaching Associate (TA) Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of Biology at California State University, San Bernardino is seeking part-time graduate student teaching assistant applications from qualified individuals for our San Bernardino Campus (SBC) and/or our Palm Desert Campus (PDC). Candidates for this position should be graduate students in the MS Biology program and should possess good organizational and communication skills with a drive to enhance student success. Prior teaching experience is recommended but not required. This position will involve teaching laboratory or discussion sections, mainly in our foundational level courses including Introduction to Biology Lab, Principles of Biology I and II, Microbiology for Allied Health Majors, and Human Anatomy and Physiology for Allied Health Majors I and II. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Candidates must also have a commitment to teamwork and work with the course coordinator and other instructors where appropriate to allow for effective and equitable instruction across different course sections. This is a pool of graduate students for the department to consider for teaching assistantships, and all appointments are temporary. Decisions on teaching assistantships are made on a rolling basis, normally between several months before and up to the beginning of the academic term. It is recommended that candidates submit their applications at least four (4) months before the beginning of an academic term to receive full consideration for available positions.

The School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) offers paid Teaching Associate (TA) positions to qualified graduate students in our graduate level program. A TA is typically given the opportunity to teach CSE laboratory sections or introductory level CSE courses. TA's may be given one or two courses per term depending upon need, budget and availability as well as the continued recommendations of the Graduate Coordinator. TAs are paid as university employees (as opposed to being given tuition remission).

School of Social Work Graduate Assistant Position San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus, San Bernardino - Palm Desert Campus
The CSUSB School of Social Work seeks a graduate assistant who has strong research skills focusing on examining food insecurity in the Coachella Valley area, leveraging community-based partnerships to do so. In particular, this position will work directly with community partners to implement a cross-sectional survey and analyze survey data to further understand the nature of food insecurity in the Coachella Valley. The graduate assistant will play an active role on project teams with the University and community partners. Candidates must be able to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines, be well versed in basic research and evaluation strategies, methodologies and analytic approaches, have quality written and oral communication skills, and be able to manage positive relationships with community partners. This position provides the opportunity for conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications. The position requires approximately 6 hours per week through Summer 2025.
