| The University Police Department (UPD) is responsible for enforcement of all laws, apprehension of violators, maintenance of order, preservation of human life, protection, and safety services to the SF State community. It is our goal to provide a safe environment for our campus community through proactive, progressive and professional law enforcement services. Our approach places an emphasis on public services and crime prevention. UPD is a progressive customer service-oriented department that encourages employee participation, innovation, and leadership. Under the direction of a Police Sergeant, the incumbent is expected to perform law enforcement duties including: foot, bicycle and/or vehicle patrol of SF State campus, residential properties and surrounding community; investigate and prepare preliminary investigation reports; issue citations; make arrests; assist in the prosecution of violators of law; provide crime prevention information; and serve as a proactive resource to a uniquely diverse community. The incumbent may also work as part of a security detail with civilian and other law enforcement agencies at university and special events. The incumbent has the opportunity to participate in a number of special assignments such as bicycle patrol, various training instructor positions, detective work, background investigations, crime prevention, field training officer, motors and various lead officer positions. |

Senior Director of Development, Liberal & Creative Arts (Administrator II) - University Development

| This position fundraises for one of the premier colleges at the University, the College of Liberal and Creative Arts (CLCA). CLCA has two Senior Directors of Development who work collaboratively but with their own individual portfolios to plan, organize, and implement the College’s major and principal gifts fundraising program. This position primarily focusses on the Humanities side of the College, supporting departments and donors to departments such as History, International Relations, Modern Languages, Political Science and others. The Senior Director works closely with the other Senior Director of Fundraising for CLCA, the Executive Director of College Fundraising, Associate Vice President for development (AVP) and the Dean of the College to increase philanthropic support for key fundraising priorities in both undergraduate and graduate programs and affiliated centers and institutes. S/He builds relationships with prominent alumni and other potential funders to secure gifts of $25,000 - $1M and above. |

| Under the general direction of the AVP and Chief Information Officer (CIO) and coordinating with the other Directors/Managers in Information Technology Services (ITS), the Director of Information Security and Information Security Officer (ISO) will coordinate and lead the Information Security Team at SF State. The incumbent will act as the SF State’s information security and privacy representative with respect to inquiries from customers, partners, and the public regarding SF State’s information security and privacy strategy; act as liaison to law enforcement agencies while pursuing the sources of network attacks and information thefts; balance security needs with the SF State’s strategic business plan, identify risk factors, and determine solutions to both; develop security and privacy policies and procedures that provide adequate business application protection without interfering with core business requirements; plan and test responses to security breaches, including the discussion of the event with customers, partners, or the public; oversee the selection, testing, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of security products; oversee a staff of employees responsible for security operations. |
