| Accessions, organizes, describes, and preserves Cal Poly's distinctive collections and university archives, making them accessible for research, instruction, exhibitions, and creative and institutional uses. Participates in appraisal and donation activities. Working wit the Curator, coordinates exhibitions and events using collections. Tracks collections, maintains collection files, optimizes collections storage spaces, and provides project guidance to student assistants. Contributes to communities of practice within the library and the CSU related to archival processing and metadata. |

| Under the general supervision of the, Police Sergeant, the Police Officer’s primary responsibilities, include but are not limited to: protecting students, faculty, staff, campus visitors, property, and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry; enforcing laws and traffic regulations; apprehending violators; providing general information and assistance to the public; crime prevention; and assisting in investigations. Special assignments may include Investigations, Crime Prevention, Critical Response Unit (C.R.U.), and Boat Patrol. |
