Job Summary

Reporting to the Managing Director of Health and Human Sciences, Student Success Center, the Student Success Center Coordinator provides complex administrative and analytical support to the Student Success Center in the College of Health and Human Sciences. Working independently under general supervision, this position handles multiple work projects on an ongoing basis. This position requires the incumbent to maintain confidentiality at all times and will be required to demonstrate independent decision making, as well as strong organization skills. This position is responsible for analysis of daily operational systems and provides support to other administration personnel on behalf of the center.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all expenses are processed in alignment with Finance policies and procedures
  • Manage student assistant hours/funds
  • Manage purchases and deliveries
  • Coordinates the procurement and reconciliation of purchases and receipts for the CHHS Student Success Center
  • Process purchase requisition; maintains and orders office supplies
  • Coordinate creation of flyers and bi-weekly newsletter with Outreach and Recruitment Advisor
  • Sorts and distributes mail, faxes, messages and other communication
  • Troubleshoots minor office equipment problems
  •  Receptionist, answers phones and emails, greets students, faculty and staff and provides up-to-date, correct information about the CHHS E Student Success Center
  • Maintain Student Success Center calendar and event registration
  • Assists with the center’s marketing, coordinating the posting and maintenance of social media information, maintaining digital display slides in the SSC, and maintains other publicity responsibilities as needed
  • Clean and stock center as needed
  • Train student assistants in all aspects of the SSC
  • Manage student assistants work schedules
  • Process room requests, travel/consultant documentation for special projects as needed

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to analyze operations and procedures and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions
  • Thorough knowledge of methods, procedures, and practices; English grammar, business writing, punctuation, and spelling
  • Ability to use sound decision-making skills based on analysis of variables, and the ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to compose and appropriately format correspondence
  • Expertise in using office software packages (word processing, spreadsheet, database management), technology, and systems
  • Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment
  • Ability to plan and handle multiple work priorities, troubleshoot and organize work project
  • Ability to analyze and report on trends (financial and operational) represented in historical data

 

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training
  • Administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs   

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years or more working in an administrative setting
  • CSU working experience

 

Compensation

Classification: Administrative Analyst/Specialist; Non-Exempt
Anticipated Hiring Range: $3,873/month - $5,804/month
CSU Salary Range: $3,879/month - $7,488/month
