Position Summary: |

The Catering Service Attendant II works under the direction of the Catering Chefs and/or Catering Supervisors in preparing food to the service order specifications following all food safety and sanitation policies and procedures. The CSA II also gathers supplies, sets up and organizes food based on client specifications (including styles of service) in multiple locations, acts as server and attendant to stock and service buffets, decorates space. May use Catering vehicles to make deliveries and transport equipment used to serve food while maintaining proper time and temperature. CSA II may also act as a bartender, dishwasher and assist with receiving product and maintaining storage and inventory.

Minimum Qualifications: |
*Must have high school diploma or equivalent. *Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, reach, push, pull. *Ability to lift equipment, food supplies up to 40 pounds in weight on a regular and continuing basis. *Ability to stand or walk up to 4 hours at a time. *Possess finger dexterity to use small tools proficiently and have hand/eye coordination. *Position may be exposed to wet floors, temperature extremes and loud noise. Must be able to tolerate these conditions. *Able to exert fast-paced mobility. *Able to visually differentiate colors for the purposes of food safety. *Able to effectively communicate (written and spoken) in English. *Ability to listen attentively to customers, supervisors and other employees. *Must be able to work nights and weekends and adapt to a flexible schedule.

Preferred Qualifications: |
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
*Degree or certification from a post-secondary culinary arts training program. *Proven experience in a restaurant, catering or university high volume food service operation. *Proven experience working in a multi-event or multi-venue environment. *One (1) year of experience in a food preparation position. *One (1) year of experience with commercial kitchen equipment. *Valid driver's license with low risk driving record and insurable by the University. *Ability to drive catering transport vehicles. *Managerial ServSafe certification *Demonstrates a professional demeanor. *Experience working with students and a diverse multi-cultural staff.
