Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, and in accordance with established principles and standards of care, the certified medical assistant with GXMO certification will support student wellbeing in the Marianist tradition of inclusivity by providing exemplary care both in medical assisting and radiologic examination to outpatient students in the Student Health Center.
Medical Assistant and GXMO Licensure, current with Ohio Department of Health. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program with clinical training. Competency in chest/abdomen, upper and lower extremity clinical radiologic modules. Minimum of 2 years of experience. Experience with patient care in an outpatient setting. Basic computer and typing skills.
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
5 years of clinical experience preferred. Medical assistant certification preferred. Experience with electronic medical records. Experience with venipuncture. Competency in radiological clinical modules for spine, skull/sinus. Experience with adolescents or young adults. Ability to communicate well with others and establish a rapport with college students. Attention to detail. Commitment to promoting diversity and a welcoming campus climate. Team player.
