Position Summary:

Looking for a finance position in a dynamic environment - Join UD as a Senior Financial Analyst in the IT department! This role will play a part in keeping the lights on and systems running by managing our renewals process and analyzing financial transactions.

Reporting to the Director for Finance and Administration, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for all Information Technology software and services renewals for campus to help ensure a safe and secure campus computing environment. This position will develop and recommend improvements to the enterprise software procurement process. The position will provide analysis of software purchases campus wide looking for opportunities to consolidate purchases, consolidate similar software or services to an enterprise version, compliance to the software procurement process, and training of campus constituents. This position will analyze software licenses and maintenance renewals for budget to actual variances, proper fiscal year recording and inclusion in long range budgetary planning. This position will assist with projects in the area working to move them forward to completion.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, MIS, Procurement or related field
5 years relevant experience
Ability to maintain accurate records
Strong attention to detail
Experience moving processes or projects forward to next steps/completion
Articulated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Experience managing multiple priorities with minimal guidance
Excellent written communication
Experience working with all levels of the organization
Competency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Ability to work as a member of team or independently
Competency with email, calendar & file sharing/storage apps

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Master's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, or Procurement disciplines
6 or more years relevant experience
Experience with information technology procurement
Experience in higher education
Excellent verbal communication
Experience with Jaggaer eProcurement, Ellucian Banner ERP
Experience with Chrome River or other expense management tool
Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities
