Position Summary: The Parking Enforcement Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of parking enforcement operations, including the supervision of full-time, part-time, temporary employees, and student workers. This role ensures the enforcement of parking policies and procedures, monitors parking lots for safety and compliance, and manages vehicle citation issuance and impoundment. The role requires strong decision-making skills, effective crisis intervention, and the ability to address and resolve customer complaints. Additionally, the Parking Enforcement Supervisor supports special event parking logistics, develops operational data and reporting tools, and maintains updated procedures for enforcement activities.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School education or equivalent
Ability to operate autonomously
Leadership experience
Ability to make critical decisions
Problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and orally
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to effectively deal with conflict and complaints Ability to work in inclement weather
Proficient with numerous software packages, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel
Five years’ experience in parking operations in a university, municipal, or similar setting
Valid drivers license with low risk driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field
Experience working in a bargaining unit environment
Experience working in higher education
Experience working with social and culturally diverse communities
Experience with Power Park software
Experience with Genetec-Security Desk software
