The University of Dayton's Department of Biology is hiring! We are seeking qualified candidate to apply for our Postdoctoral Fellow position to work with two of our professors on a grant funded through NIH.
A Post-doctoral fellow position is available immediately in the Department of Biology at University of Dayton for self-motivated scientists to study the molecular mechanisms of early eye patterning, birth defects, signaling and growth regulation during eye development. The position is funded through a NIH grant to Amit Singh and Madhuri Kango-Singh. The candidate will be expected to work on the Drosophila model to study DV patterning in the developing eye.
Ph.D. in Biology, Developmental Biology, Molecular Biology or related fieldExcellent written and communication skills
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Experience with Drosophila genetics, Immunohistochemistry, Microscopy, Tissue culture and / or Biochemistry.Excellent verbal communication skills.PhD degree within the last 3 years.Strong peer-reviewed publication(s) record.
