Position Summary:

This position is responsible for analyzing the modulation transfer function, effective focal length, back focal length, depth of focus, distortion, and field of curvature for optical lenses along with the minimum resolvable temperature difference (MRTD), noise equivalent temperature difference (NETD), signal transfer function (STF) for Short-wave infrared (SWIR), medium (or mid)-wave infrared (MWIR), long-wave infrared (LWIR) and visible sensors.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- A minimum of three years of directly related experience is required at the R2 level
- A minimum of eight years of directly related experience is required at the R3 level
- A minimum of twelve years of directly related experience is required at the R4 level
- Experience in evaluating various artifacts of SWIR/MWIR/LWIR and visible sensors
- Experience in using EO/IR multi sensor fusion system engineering to obtain the performance characteristics, capabilities, limitations, and vulnerabilities of various SWIR/MWIR/LWIR and visible sensors
- Able to support experiments, design, and analysis efforts
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 12 years experience in RF systems; or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or related field, with 10 years experience in RF systems
- Proven experience in evaluating various artifacts of SWIR/MWIR/LWIR and visible sensors
- Proven experience in using EO/IR multi sensor fusion system engineering to obtain the performance characteristics, capabilities, limitations, and vulnerabilities of various SWIR/MWIR/LWIR and visible sensors
- Experience in using and integrating COTS test equipment, custom designed hardware/software, and kinematic flight models to perform this characterization
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Ability to promote inclusive excellence in the workplace
