The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department offers new faculty an opportunity to join a community deeply committed to their success and to education at all levels. The University of Dayton (UD) Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) invites applications for a Lecturer position specializing in circuits and systems. The position is a non-tenure track position renewable annually and begins August 16, 2025. Collaborations in teaching within the department, across the University, and externally are encouraged.
The lecturer will be responsible for:

• Developing and teaching courses and laboratories in circuits and systems.
• Initiating an independent research program in circuits and systems or related areas.
• Actively participating in collaborative R&D efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A doctorate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2 years teaching experience at the university level in Electrical Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may meet all preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• Successful Experience in one or more of the following:

  • Mentoring socially and culturally diverse student populations.
  • Teaching and developing academic courses in electrical engineering, circuits and systems
  • Establishing collaborative partnerships with other researchers

• Effective written communication skills.
• Effective oral communication skills
• Effective classroom management skills
• Commitment to breadth of education including educating the whole person in the Marianist tradition of social justice, inclusive excellence, and a commitment of service to the community, university and profession
