High school graduation or its equivalentMinimum of 8 years’ experience with machining. Setup and operation of 2, 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machines (i.e. Lathe, Mill, Wire EDM), including at-machine program editsMinimum of 8 years’ experience with set-up and operation of manual mills and lathesAble to program, set-up, operate and troubleshoot Jet-edge and Flow jet water-jet equipmentExperience with OMAX waterjet machines, OMAX Layout CAD software and MAKE CNC programming softwarePossess an understanding of additive manufacturing equipment and processesAbility to read technical drawingsExperience in interacting with design and manufacturing engineers and other technical personnel, providing guidance around design for manufacturabilityExperience using precision measurement equipment, such as outside micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators, optical comparators, etc.Self-starter with ability to operate with minimal supervisionEffective verbal communication skills with team members at all levelsOrganizational skillsDue to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen

Associate’s degree in technology field or equivalent work experienceKnowledge of SolidWorks design software to model and reverse engineer obsolete parts for aircraft and equipment3 years’ experience in programming, set-up, operation and troubleshooting Additive Manufacturing equipment (i.e. Stratasys Polymer 3D Printers, EOS M290 printing system)Possess an understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)Experience manufacturing parts for government customers
