UDRI is looking for a Data Science Engineer to join the SPIRE group. You will contribute to a growing team responsible for cutting-edge technology and enhancing data exploitation capabilities and effectiveness.
An ideal candidate will have strong skills as a full-stack developer and with interest in AI/ML technologies. You will utilize software development coupled with frameworks and workflows for secure, scalable systems to create consistent and reliable software. This position also features a focus on hardware implementation of data exploitation algorithms on low size, weight and power (SWaP) hardware. This includes integrating hardware and software on to custom payloads.
1. Bachelor's degree2. Minimum of 8 years related work experience 3. Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen4. Active US TOP SECRET (or higher) clearance or equivalent5. Professional experience working within Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) frameworks and development workflows for secure, scalable systems in both unclassified and classified systems6. Professional experience implementing algorithms on low size, weight, and power (SWaP) hardware, such as Nvidia Jetson development boards7. Professional experience with software and hardware integration 8. Professional experience developing software to communicate and exchange information (e.g. commands, status, data) with hardware devices, sensors, or systems9. Effective written and verbal communication skills
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
1. Demonstrated, effective interpersonal skills2. Familiarity (academic or professional) with:-- 2.1. Machine/Deep learning techniques-- 2.2. Data management/curation, analysis, processing and exploitation-- 2.3. Cryptography -- 2.4. US DOD high performance computing (HPC) clusters3. Demonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) with source code version control systems such as Git, Subversion, or similar4. Demonstrated, effective interpersonal skills
