UDRI is looking for a Principal Autonomy Research Engineer to join the SPIRE group. You will contribute to a growing team responsible for cutting-edge technology and enhancing autonomy capabilities and effectiveness.
An ideal candidate for this role will be excited at the prospect of implementing state of the art artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques to reveal new insights and research new applications. They will have extensive, professional software skills and experience that they can leverage toward improving AI/ML systems, with a focus on multi-agents systems, communication and cooperation.
1) Bachelor's degree2) 15+ years professional experience in Software Development3) Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen4) Active US SECRET (or higher) clearance5) Rigorous software development skills6) Professional experience with multi-agent systems, including communication/coordination between agents7) Professional experience with natural language processing, including knowledge base creating, topic discovery and clustering8) Understanding and experience with current Air Force R&D efforts in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Autonomy and Machine Learning
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
1. Master's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science2. Demonstrated, effective interpersonal skills3. Professional experience with:-- 3.1. Machine/Deep learning techniques-- 3.2. Novel algorithm development-- 3.3. Secure software -- 3.4. Creating human understandable data from digital artifacts4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
