The primary purpose of this position is to be a leading contributor on a software development team. The Software Engineer will work with other team members that are peers and senior to themselves. Primary responsibilities include all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements design, development, integration, and testing. This position requires the person to interface and communicate with the client(s) in a professional manner.
**What You'll Do:**- Design and develop advanced software solutions for sensor integration and data processing systems.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams on projects spanning defense, aerospace, and emerging technologies.- Contribute to technical initiatives from concept through implementation.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.• 7+ years of experience developing and Leading software applications in C++, C#, Java, or other object oriented languages.• 7+ years of experience with ASP.NET MVC web application development, including websites/APIs/etc.• 7+ years of experience with databases ( MSSQL, SQL).• 4+ years of experience developing with PL/SQL.• 4+ years of experience with Oracle Forms on a Linux-based system.• Experienced with applications such as Git, Microsoft DevOps, and unit testing frameworks.• Experienced with mass emailing APIs like SendGrid.• Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen.• Must be eligible to secure and maintain a clearance.
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
• M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.• Experience working with microservice architectures and Docker.• Familiarity with REST API architectures.• Experience with Workflow Automation & Scripting.
