This position is located at the Advanced Technology and Training Center (ATTC) at the University of Dayton Research Institute. This position provides manufacturing operations support for aircraft and vehicle sustainment technology development and transition including vehicle maintenance, aircraft maintenance and ground support equipment. This position will support the Advanced Manufacturing Production Control & Logistics Group and will report to the Production Control Group Lead. Duties will include, managing the production schedule, supply chain management, coordinating shipments of parts to/from customers and/or vendors, ERP software administration and inventory management and related purchasing activities. In addition, this position will be responsible for the coordination, compilation, and facilitation of periodic AM metrics reviews. This position may also be responsible for planning, coordination, and management of special projects.
• Associate's degree in business management, finance, operations management, engineering/technology, OR 8 years of related experience.• 3 years of experience in logistics analysis and production planning in a manufacturing environment.• Experience in inventory management and control.• 3 years of experience utilizing an ERP system for resource planning in a manufacturing environment.• Proficient at using MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc) to track/present data.• Experience creating and briefing production reports to senior leadership.• Experience in a Production Planning role in a manufacturing facility with ISO9001 or AS9100 quality system in place.• Effective written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to work independently.• Valid drivers license with low risk driving record.• Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen.
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
• Associate's degree in business management, finance, operations management, engineering/technology & 8 years of related experience.• Experience implementing ERP software. Global Shop Solutions software preferred.• Experience in a Production Planning role in an AS9100 facility• Experience working with government customers in a manufacturing environment.
