The University of Dayton Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (UDOLLI) Coordinator plays a vital role in providing a welcoming and enriching lifelong learning experience for adults age 50 and better. This position oversees the planning, coordination, and evaluation of UDOLLI courses, seminars, and special events, while supporting the volunteers and moderators who make the program thrive. Serving as the primary point of contact for participants, instructors, and community partners, the Coordinator ensures exceptional service, smooth program operations, and an inclusive environment that reflects the University’s Marianist values of learning, community, and service.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, communications, business administration, or a related field.• At least 2 years of experience coordinating programs or events in education, nonprofit, or community settings.• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; proven ability to work effectively with older adults and volunteers.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning new digital tools such as registration, scheduling, or learning management systems.• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment consistent with the mission of the University of Dayton and UDOLLI.
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
• Experience working in university-based lifelong learning, continuing education, or community enrichment programs.• Demonstrated experience coordinating and supporting volunteers or advisory boards.• Knowledge of adult learning and engagement principles, particularly for older adult learners.• Familiarity with registration and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms such as CampusCE, Destiny One, or similar.• Experience planning and delivering educational or cultural events.• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, community presenters, and a variety of community partners.
