Position Summary:

Facilities Management & Planning is responsible for the care and maintenance of over 5.5 million square feet of academic, research, residential, administrative & athletic facilities, on a 432 acre urban campus. Join our team as a Maintenance Technician!

Performs semi skilled work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and associated equipment/systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED
Two (2) years general knowledge/skills of the following: – minor electrical – minor plumbing – minor carpentry – minor repair of doors/windows, including hardware – painting, including minor wall repair – general building maintenance
Valid drivers license with fewer than 6 points
Must possess maturity in judgement, have demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and ability to get along with widely diverse personalities

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Minor HVAC skills
Refrigerant recovery certification
Trades related certifications/training (documentation req'd)

Special Instructions to Applicants:

Primarily Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4:30PM (some overtime/ alternate shifts may be required)
