Position Summary:

The University of Dayton's Athletics department is hiring! We invite qualified applicants to apply for our Coordinator of Ticketing Solutions opening! This is a full time benefit eligible position that offers health, dental and vision insurance, retirement, disability, tuition assistance for you and your dependents, vacation/sick accrual and holiday pay.

The Coordinator of Ticketing Solutions Internship is an entry-level, full time, benefit eligible 12-month position. The University of Dayton Athletics Internship program is designed to expose the highly-motivated individual to all aspects of a Division I athletic program Strong performers have the opportunity to be considered for permanent positions within the division if and when they become available. Candidates will rotate through experiences designed to give interns real-world experience with the broad range of disciplines within intercollegiate athletics. This position is distinguished by comprehensive training, mentor assignments, networking opportunities and funding to attend leadership and professional development throughout the internship.

The successful candidate(s) will assist the UD Arena Ticket Office in general day-day to customer service, group sales & service (retention & solicitation), and general ticket office operations such as invoicing, renewal calls, and office mailings. This position(s) will also provide game day support for all ticketed revenue events such as men’s & women’s basketball, football, women’s volleyball and any other additional post season and external events such as the NCAA First Four. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree.
One year equivalent of part-time experience in the arena of intercollegiate or professional athletics (teams, professional organizations, sports media companies, firms related to athletics).
Excellent written communication skills.
Must be able to work many evenings, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

One year of full-time experience in the arena of intercollegiate or professional athletics (teams, organizations, sports media companies, firms related to athletics).
Successful experience in an NCAA Division I athletic department in the sphere of ticketing, game operations, sales, or event management.
Experience with ticketing systems like Ticketmaster or Paciolan.
Successful experience in customer relations and maintaining a pleasant demeanor in difficult situations.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
