Position Summary:

The University of Dayton's Athletics Department invites qualified applicants to apply for our Director of Basketball Operations opening today!

The Director of Basketball Operations supports all phases of operations for the men's basketball program. Responsibilities include coordination of all team travel, managing player and staff communication platforms, facility scheduling, on-campus recruiting and operating logistics, serve as liaison with marketing and promotions, compliance and equipment and apparel. All UD Athletics employees are charged with adherence to all NCAA, Atlantic 10 Conference, and University rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
Experienced at the collegiate or professional level or in basketball administrative roles such as Director of Operations, Player Development, Video Coordinator, or assistant to the head coach
Expertise in planning, organizing, and strategizing for the execution of the men's basketball calendar
History of professional leadership and integrity
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Possess a valid driver’s license, maintains a low risk driving record and is able to be insured by the university

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Three years of experience at the collegiate or professional level or in administrative basketball roles such as Director of Operations, Player Development, Video Coordinator, or assistant to the head coach
Able to demonstrate excellent organizational, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities
