The University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Associate Project Analyst to join our Applied Sensing division. The Project Analyst will oversee a variety of Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) contracts from set up through closeout in a fast-paced environment. The analyst will be responsible for submitting deliverables, preparing financial reports, determining resource allocations, and completing financial projections and analyses. The analyst will also be responsible for approving purchases and travel requests against contract budgets. Furthermore, the analyst will be responsible for the management of subcontracts as needed. The analyst will manage the above duties and act as the liaison between the primary investigator and UDRI administrative offices. The analyst will also have direct communications with AFRL customers and are expected to provide outstanding customer service through one-one-one interactions and group meetings as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Graduate plus four years of relevant experience (diverse, progressive administrative) and training OR Associate's degree plus two years of relevant experience and training OR a Bachelors and no previous experience required
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
• Exhibit excellent written communication skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness
• Proven ability to collaborate with others and complete objectives within a timely manner
• Ability to manage several projects at a time and maintain deadlines
• Ability to create and sustain financial reports
• Capable of extracting data for current and historical analysis
• Ability to prepare spend plans and provide recommendations to maintain program goals
• Capable of understanding contract requirements and determining appropriate methods of completion
• Proven ability to maintain a budget and track expenses over time
• Exhibit strong critical thinking skills and establish procedures for long-term success
• Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen
• Ability to obtain security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• Bachelor's Degree in business or technical area
• Three years of work experience in program management or related field
• Experience working with Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) contracts
• Familiarity with basic technical concepts of software development and computer systems
• Familiarity with Costpoint ERP System
• Experience working in a remote environment
