Position Summary: |
The Assistant Director for Student Organization Financial Operations, under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of Students and Sr. Director of Center for Student Involvement, will provide direct coordination and management of student organization ledger and club accounts. This position will have direct contact with student organizations, their advisers, and departments within the University to best support the success of all recognized student organizations, understanding that each academic year brings new student leaders and advisors. The Assistant Director will develop financial processes with a focus on accountability, and will provide training to student organization leaders and advisers each year. In addition, this position will support the Hangar games room to continue to meet PCI compliance requirements for all credit card sales. This position will work closely with the Student Development Director of Budgets and Financial Operations on a regular basis. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelor's degree. Proficient in MS office. Must be organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and work independently. Ability to collaborate with others and exercise sensitivity to matters of confidentiality. Strong oral and written communication skills. Commitment to student service. Experience with accounting practices, managing budgets and reconciling accounts.

Preferred Qualifications: |
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Experience working with student organizations. Knowledge of university accounting practices. Experience with university purchasing systems. Experience with Banner and Cognos financial reporting. Experience with working with or advising college students.
