The Department
The Department of Health and Sport Science is a growing, successful department at the University of Dayton, in Dayton, OH. With over 700 students across 4 undergraduate majors and one graduate dietetics program, we collectively seek to train and inspire future leaders in health, wellness and sport. Over 400 students are Health Science majors who primarily pursue graduate programs such as medicine, physician assistant, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and nursing. We are looking for an engaged, dedicated, and innovative faculty member to join our student-centered team.

The Position
The BSN Program at the University of Dayton, Department of Health and Sport Science is seeking a candidate who is outcomes-focused and is interested in advancing nursing students in education, the nursing profession, and Marianist values. The Assistant Clinical Professor is a nine month, non-tenure track faculty position beginning August 16, 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, teaching, and evaluating courses in the University of Dayton’s BSN Pathway completion program as well as assisting as the program transitions into a stand-alone pre-licensure program. The candidate will work collaboratively with the Nursing Program Director as well as with interdisciplinary faculty in the Department of Health and Sport Science and the School of Education and Health Sciences. Additionally, the successful candidate who serves for six years or more is eligible to be considered for non-tenure track promotion in accordance with the university’s recently implemented professional faculty promotion policy.
