Position Summary:

As part of the Division of University Marketing and Communications, the Email Marketing and Operations Specialist is a member of a technical marketing team that collaborates closely to support the communication needs of the Division of Enrollment Management.

Through the EM Marketing and Communications team, this position is responsible for executing communications that promote the University to prospective undergraduate students, including but not limited to high school students, transfer students, UD Sinclair Academy students, international students, veterans and military-connected students, parents and high school counselors.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Communication Operations on the EM Marketing and Communications team, this position is committed to service excellence in delivering our most vital touchpoints—from building personalized email journeys to pulling data for complex audiences to analyzing and reporting on the effectiveness of our communications.

Position responsibilities include building, testing and sending email campaigns and journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud; supporting data requests by writing SQL queries and Salesforce reports to pull precise audiences; and ensuring every piece of mail or email we send is accurate, personalized and professional.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree with equivalent work experience
* At least 1 year of experience in a communication operations role including executing email and SMS campaigns, data queries, reporting and analysis
* Understanding of digital marketing KPIs and demonstrated ability to translate analytics into actionable insights
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage projects independently while contributing to team goals
* Proven ability to produce positive results while maintaining multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

* Working knowledge of Oracle SQL, HTML, AMPscript, Alteryx, and/or Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Word and Excel)
* Familiarity working in an Agile scrum project management environment
* Experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketing Cloud Intelligence or similar marketing automation, reporting and dashboard tools.
* Experience with CRM software and reporting (Salesforce preferred)
* Experience working with higher education data
