Position Summary: |
UDRI is seeking applicants to join a growing team focused on rapidly developing and integrating Open System Architectures (OSA) to meet Air Force ISR objectives. This position will need to perform a variety of software development and analysis tasks. The qualified candidate will be responsible for working as part of a diverse and skilled technical team to develop and test software in high-level languages within open architecture environments. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
• BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or similarly relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent professional experience) • Familiarity with taking high-level, abstract concepts to implementation by developing software applications (e.g. C/C++, Java) in Windows and/or Linux environments using modern tool environments (e.g. Netbeans, Eclipse, Visual Studio) • (P3) Eight years of demonstrated experience developing software applications in an object oriented language (e.g. C++, Java, Python) • Demonstrated, effective interpersonal skills • Due to the nature of this position, US Citizenship is required • Eligibility to obtain a United States SECRET clearance (or higher) is required for ongoing employment in this position

Preferred Qualifications: |
• Preferential consideration for candidates with software development in ESRI ArcGIS using Java and/or C# .NET and/or ESRI ArcGIS development libraries (ArcGIS Runtime SDKs, ArcGIS API for Python, ArcGIS REST API) • Advanced degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or similarly relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent professional experience) • Demonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) with any of the following: o Software development practices such as source control (e.g. Git, Subversion), issue tracking, continuous integration, agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum) o Software development with managing ISR data (e.g. Imagery, FMV, SAR/MTI, RF) from multiple sources using transport streaming and transcoding protocols and tools (e.g. FFmpeg, H.264/H.265, JPEG2000, RTSP) o Docker virtualization and containers o Experienced development with Netbeans RCP • Active US SECRET (or higher) clearance
