Position Summary: |
This position will be responsible for providing guidance and expertise to the design and implementation of signal processing algorithms on Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), and may be expected to lead small technical teams in solving complex hardware and software problems for fielded systems and research prototypes. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering 2. 4 years of demonstrated, successful professional experience developing applications on FPGAs using Hardware Description Languages such as VHDL or Verilog 3. Demonstrated, successful experience developing software to control hardware designs, in C, C++, or equivalent 5. Demonstrated, successful experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, JTAG or other hardware to test and debug hardware designs 6. Demonstrated, successful experience developing test benches in ModelSim to verify firmware designs 7. Familiarity with modern Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and software compilers such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, or Visual Studio Code. 8. Demonstrated, effective interpersonal and communication skills 9. Due to the nature of this position, U.S. Citizenship is required 10. Eligibility to obtain a United States SECRET clearance (or higher) is required for ongoing employment in this position
P2 minimum requirements: A minimum of three years of directly related experience is required

Preferred Qualifications: |
1. Masters’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, 2. Demonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) programming in algorithm-level languages such as Matlab, Python, or similar 3. Demonstrated, successful experience working with SOC FPGAs such as Stratix 10 SOCs and Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC devices. (Xilinx Preferred) 4. Experience with embedded Linux, especially when used in concert with FPGAs. 5. Experience with developing Linux device drivers for embedded systems. 6. Experience with Xilinx RFSoC line of FPGAs 7. Active US SECRET (or higher) clearance
