The primary purpose of this position is to provide broad and diverse administrative support and exceptional customer service for the Director's Office. The position performs tasks required to administer and execute the deployment and maintenance of a variety of offices processes including recognition and morale enhancing programs within UDRI. Organizes and plans special events and meetings for external and internal constituents. Serves as Handshake Administrator and organizational coordinator to staff and student employees in the co cooperative education and intern student Program. Interfaces directly with researchers, sponsors, cross unit staff members and the general public on a regular basis. Regularly exercises independent judgment, discretion, critical thinking and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications: |
1. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus two years of diverse, progressive administrative experience. 2. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively on diverse, multi-faceted teams to achieve desired outcomes. 3. Successful demonstration of clear and accurate communication skills – written, oral, interpersonal. 4. Exceptional organizational and documentation skills and ability to adapt to a variety of assignments, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 5. Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro 6. Demonstrated attention to detail and critical thinking skills. 7. Successful demonstrated ability to work in fact-paced environment with many interruptions. 8. Willingness and ability to work outside of normal business hours when necessary to fulfill job functions 9. Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications: |
1. Two years of experience providing exceptional customer service. 2. Two years of experience in the administration of special event and meeting planning. 3. Two years of experience managing recognition programs or morale enhancing events 4. Successful demonstration of flexibility. 5. Successful demonstration of initiative. 6. Demonstrated successful experience working with constituents of all levels across the organization. 7. Administrative experience in higher education. 8. Experience with Government contracting and/or sponsored research administration 9. Ability to effectively write procedures 10. Experience with SciQuest (Runway) 11. Experience with Deltek Costpoint
