Position Summary:       

Yeshiva University invites applications for a full-time tenure track position in Developmental Psychology. The successful candidate will be based at Stern College for Women the women’s undergraduate liberal arts college. The position will begin in January or August 2023, and rank will be at the Assistant or Associate level, commensurate with experience, fit, and qualifications. Highest priority will be given to applicants who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduates and promise of becoming outstanding scholars with robust research programs that will provide opportunities for student involvement and that can be supported by external funding.

Position Responsibilities:

The candidate will be expected to teach Introductory Psychology, Developmental Psychology: Lifespan and to also develop upper-level courses and seminars in the candidate’s area of expertise. The typical course load is three courses each semester. 

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Advisement
  • Mentoring of undergraduate research
  • Participation in departmental activities and participation on committees that serve the department, college and university

Experience & Educational Background:

Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in Developmental Psychology.

Skills & Competencies:

Applicants should have undergraduate teaching experience and a demonstrated record of scholarship.
