Position Summary:      

Central (Yeshiva University High School for Girls), in Queens, NY, offers a rigorous and innovative academic program that highlights best practices of education to inspire our students to become life-long learners.  Central seeks a motivating, energetic, organized, and experienced Director of Athletics/Physical Education for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Teach grades 9-12 physical education courses; fulfill all responsibilities as a full-time faculty member
  • Schedule and oversee sports games within the league
  • Arrange travel logistics for all sports teams to attend away games
  • Hire and mentor coaches for all sports teams and manage the athletics department
  • Maintain and oversee the gym and all sports equipment; buy athletic equipment and ensure they are maintained
  • Act as a liaison between the sports league and the school

Experience & Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree required. 2-3 years teaching experience preferred.

Salary Range:

$65,000-$70,000
