Position Summary:

All Casual Staff- Graduate Assistants serve as Resident Advisors for their floor. Each Graduate Assistant is on duty one weekend a month.

The GAs are required to be on duty one night a week. When on duty the GA is required to be available and within 5 blocks of campus from 5:30 pm - 8 am the following day. The GA must be available by phone at all times.

Position Responsibilities: 
  • Overseeing the RAs during their assigned duty, visiting each Residence Hall during the evening from 7 pm-9 pm
  • Calling the head of Security informing him/her that you are on duty
  • Managing all undergraduate student medical/ psychiatric emergencies, in collaboration with the residence life department and the security dept.
Experience & Education Background:
  • A Casual Staff- Graduate Assistant is required to be in good standing at Yeshiva University and must be a college graduate.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Managing room meetings with the assistance of the RA for that floor.
  • Sending an email by 9 am to the Director/Associate Director of Residence Life reviewing the evening activities.
  • Shabbat Responsibilities.
  • Other Administrative Responsibilities.
Salary Range: $16.50 - $16.50
