Position Summary: |
Yeshiva University announces its proposed new DDS program and is hiring a new faculty and staff to support the school. The curriculum will integrate Digital Dentistry techniques to be taught by today’s dental thought leaders and master clinicians. The school plans to provide a unique 36 month dental education program through an innovative “Block” style curriculum which will ensures in-depth learning and understanding. The Director of Clinical Systems at Yeshiva University’s dental school will oversee the management, implementation, and optimization of clinical information systems that support the school’s patient care and clinical education functions. This role is responsible for ensuring clinical data integrity, improving system functionality, and aligning technology with the school’s mission to provide high-quality, patient-centered care and effective clinical training. Reporting to the Dean, the Director will collaborate with IT, clinical staff, and academic leadership to enhance clinical workflows and integrate systems with the school’s curriculum.

Position Responsibilities: |
Clinical Systems Management:
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of clinical information systems, ensuring their functionality meets the operational and educational needs of the clinic.
- Data Integrity and Compliance: Ensure clinical systems adhere to data privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA, and maintain data accuracy and integrity across clinical records and patient interactions.
- Training and Support: Develop and provide training for faculty, staff, and students on clinical systems, enhancing their efficiency and supporting a smooth clinical workflow.
Workflow Optimization:
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize clinical workflows through system enhancements, process improvements, and technology integration.
Quality Assurance and Reporting:
- Develop reporting tools and dashboards to track clinical data, assess performance metrics, and support quality improvement initiatives.
System Integration:
- Work closely with IT and academic leaders to ensure seamless integration of clinical systems with other university platforms, supporting both patient care and student training.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with system vendors, coordinate upgrades and troubleshooting, and ensure systems are aligned with the latest technological standards.
Project Management:
- Lead and coordinate system implementation projects, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet clinical and educational objectives.

Experience & Education Background: |
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Health Informatics.
- Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years in clinical systems management

Skills & Competencies: |
Clinical Systems Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of clinical information systems, electronic health records (EHR), and other healthcare technology platforms, with experience in implementation and management.
Data Management and Compliance:
- Strong understanding of data security, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and best practices in healthcare data management.
Training and Technical Support:
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs, with a commitment to supporting staff and students in using clinical systems efficiently.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Proficiency in analyzing clinical workflows and system performance, with a solution-oriented approach to optimizing technology use.
Project Management Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, manage timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure successful outcomes.
Collaborative and Communication Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical staff, IT professionals, and academic leaders.
