Position Summary: 

The Academic Success Instructor and Adjunct Professor in this position will teach academic success, bar exam preparation, and legal writing courses under the auspices of the Legal Writing program at Cardozo Law School, together with up to 5 credits per academic year in doctrinal courses.  The position will begin immediately when filled, with an initial term through June 30, 2025.  The position is renewable, with renewal terms of up to one year.

Professional Responsibilities:
  • Teach both JD and LLM academic support and bar exam preparation courses
  • Teach both JD and LLM legal writing courses
  • Support academic support, bar exam preparation, and legal writing courses and programs, including by scoring and giving feedback on student work
  • Possibility to teach additional doctrinal courses, totaling no more than 5 credits per academic year

Experience & Educational Background:

  • J.D required
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience teaching academic support and/or legal writing courses

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong teaching and communication skills

Salary Range:

$60,000 - $92,000
