Position Summary:       

The Mental Health Counseling (MHC) MA Program at Yeshiva University's Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology seeks to hire a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor and program coordinator to start Fall 2025. The successful candidate will contribute to graduate training and the supervision of graduate students. Strong preference is given to applicants with experience teaching online courses in mental health counseling and/or in psychology and in program administration at the graduate level.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of an asynchronous online MHC MA program.
  • Teaching required MHC courses online in both synchronous and asynchronous formats.
  • Academic advising.
  • Curriculum development.
  • Duties related to college & program committee assignments.

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Record of teaching excellence.
  • Experience in teaching counseling/psychology courses in online formats.
  • Program administration experience.
  • Demonstrated scholarly productivity.
  • PhD or PsyD.
  • Licensed (or license eligible) in New York State as a Psychologist or Mental Health Counselor, and/or having a national counselor credential.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong track record of active training and clinical involvement.
  • Knowledge of mental health counseling accreditation standards.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas.
  • Commitment to working in a multicultural setting.
