Position Summary:

The lab technician will work closely with faculty, staff and students to assist in the proper upkeep and maintenance of a busy undergraduate biology lab.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of materials needed for the laboratory exercises,
  • Maintaining all living materials used in the advanced courses,  
  • Ordering supplies for the various laboratory exercises,  
  • Trouble-shooting laboratory equipment issues,
  • Overseeing the cleanliness of the teaching laboratories  
  • Maintaining inventory
  • Assisting professors [e.g., photocopying of examinations, proctoring

Experience &  Educational Background:

BA degree; preferably in Biology or Biochemistry

Skills &  Competencies:

Attention to detail, ability to work independently

Salary Range:

1199 New Hire rate:$28.12 and 1199 One Year of Service rate $28.70
