Position Summary:
|
Central/YUHSG seeks a High School Physical Education Teacher to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits in a structured and supportive environment. This role helps students build confidence, develop skills, and understand the value of lifelong wellness.

Position Responsibilities:
|
- Plan and lead engaging physical education classes aligned with curriculum goals
- Teach a range of fitness activities, sports, and health-related concepts
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal responsibility
- Ensure a safe, well-managed environment during all activities
- Assess student participation and progress
- Differentiate activities to support varying skill levels and abilities
- Communicate with students, families, and colleagues as needed
- Collaborate with faculty and participate in school initiatives

Experience & Educational Background:
|
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience working with high school students preferred
|

Skills & Competencies:
|
- Strong knowledge of physical fitness, sports, and health education
- Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities
- Effective classroom and group management skills
- Organized, reliable, and safety-conscious
- Positive, encouraging approach with students
