Position Summary:       

This Director is a senior academic and administrative leadership position responsible for the development, growth, and management of RIETS master’s programs. The Director oversees curriculum development and accreditation, drives program expansion and enrollment growth, manages financial planning and budgeting, and leads marketing and recruitment strategy. Supervises program operations through an Assistant Director and serves as a key liaison to central university offices (Registrar, Student Finance, Provost). The position also holds faculty responsibilities (teaching two courses each semester).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepare curriculum and accreditation with NYSED
  • Grow the master’s offerings from the current two (biomedical ethics and business ethics) offerings, adding more every other year
  • Grow enrollment and lead the recruitment effort
  • Liaison with the office of the registrar, student finance, and provost
  • Financial planning, budget modeling, and projections
  • Prepare slides and budgets to be shared with the dean and board of overseers
  • Market the program and work with Marketing and Communications
  • Hire and manage faculty and teaching loads
  • Teach two courses each semester as determined by the Dean
  • Academic advising

Oversee the assistant director on all matters related to:

  • Recruiting students for Master's programs
  • Managing application, interview, and registration processes
  • Assisting in developing marketing plans for programs
  • Responding to student inquiries
  • Maintaining and updating the website

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Master's degree in Bioethics
  • Rabbinic Ordination
  • 5+ years teaching at the college or graduate level

Salary Range:

$140,000-$150,000
