Position Summary:       

The Katz School at Yeshiva University is seeking instructors to teach freshman- and sophomore-level courses in the university’s AS in Management program. We are looking for instructors who have a track record of teaching excellence, experience with project-based learning, and experience working with students with different abilities, levels of preparation, and cultural backgrounds – preferably in a community college setting.

 

This is a pool posting. We welcome applications from candidates qualified to teach in any of the following areas:

  • Business Algebra; Statistics; Information Systems; Introduction to Data Science
  • Micro and Macro Economics
  • Foundations of Financial Accounting
  • Introduction to Business; Managing in the Global Environment; Ethical and Legal Environments of Business
  • Organizational Behavior; Human Resources
  • Speech Communication; First Year Writing; Business Communication
  • College Experience (experiential/field-based courses) in: NYC Business Environment; Entrepreneurship in NYC; Arts and Culture in NYC

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and teach primarily freshman- and sophomore-level courses to a diverse student population.
  • Collaborate with program faculty on curriculum design.
  • Participate in regular faculty meetings, ongoing curriculum development, and faculty training initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly with program director and advisement team regarding student support needs.

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Experience teaching freshman- and/or sophomore-level courses.
  • Experience developing and teaching collaborative, project-based curricula.
  • Experience using evidence-driven pedagogies and instructional practices.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a learner-centered environment.
  • High energy level, enthusiasm, and interest in helping and supporting students and colleagues.
  • Superior classroom management skills.
