Position Summary:      

Yeshiva University’s Katz School seeks a dynamic Director of Online Education to develop, launch, market, and administer high quality, academically rigorous online master’s and doctoral degrees. Like all Katz School programs, our online degrees will ensure graduates are market-ready for high-growth, high-wage careers. Pedagogically, we value highly interactive, engaging, content rich courses that provide students with a project-based experiential education that culminates in a portfolio of work. In addition, we frequently include synchronous components as part of the learning experience.

Position Responsibilities:

First and foremost, the director is responsible for ensuring academic excellence and an exceptional student and faculty experience. Specific responsibilities are below:

  • Work with the Dean and school leadership, to create a vision and implementation strategy for online education and a portfolio of nationally-ranked online programs.
  • Develop cross-university and external partnerships to create innovative online programs and activities for online students and faculty.
  • Work with department chairs and faculty to ensure online programs meet all accreditation standards.
  • Provide strategic planning and day-to-day management for all aspects of program operations including course scheduling, faculty development and resources, budgeting, operations, data collection and assessment, and reporting.
  • Coordinate activities with the Academic Operations, Registrar, Financial Aid and Student Accounts, Information Technology, Budget and Finance, among others.
  • Manage program partners for marketing, communications, enrollment management, instructional design, faculty development, and student support services.
  • Connect with department chairs and professional organizations to recruit and build a pool of experienced online adjunct faculty.
  • Establish policies, processes, documentation, and communications for all aspects of online education.
  • Develop, manage, track, and report on success metrics, plans, workflows, and budgets.

Experience & Educational Background:

Required:

  • Master’s degree with at least three years experience in the administration of online programs;
  • Experience supporting online students/faculty.

Preferred:

  • Administration of Doctoral degree and graduate program experience.
  • Experience in online teaching.
  • Experience working with vendors.
