Position Summary:      

The Program Manager plans, directs and coordinates the activities of a designated program or project to ensure the goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and budget.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of undergraduate events as well as student club and student council run events, including program development, logistics, correspondence, marketing and promotional activities 
  • Plan, execute and implement innovative programs, including Orientation, Orientation Student Guides and student leader training
  • Develop and coordinate training for Orientation Student Guides
  • Develop undergraduate leadership, time management and communication skills

  • Facilitates undergraduate intercampus communication
  • Facilitates communication between students and staff
  • Develop, monitor and control budgets for all student programs
  • Review project proposals or plans to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures, staffing needs and allotment of available resources to various phases of a project
  • Establish work plans and staffing for each phase of a project
  • Prepare and distribute reports as well as analyze the data
  • Develop metrics to measure the success of the programs

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of related experience is required

Skills & Competencies:

  • Advanced Microsoft office skills - Proficiency in Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point
  • Capable in InDesign
  • Mac and PC proficient
  • Technologically competent (website CMS coding)
  • Ability to utilize Google forms, docs and spreadsheets
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills
  • Speaks clearly and expresses self well in one-on-one conversations and groups
  • Develops effective written communications and uses them appropriately
  • Develops effective relationships with peers, students and staff
  • Assumes responsibility to ensure issues/concerns will be addressed and monitors them through conclusion
  • Effectively manages own time and resources
  • Seeks to apply technology and innovation to improve efficiency and solve problems
