Position Summary:      

The department of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) at the Katz School at Yeshiva University (YU) welcomes applications for a full-time Clinical Coordinator/Supervisor. This individual will support the Clinical Director in supervising graduate students and teaching clinical/professional coursework. 

Position Responsibilities:

The ideal speech language pathologist candidate will have varied clinical experience and supervision background. The candidate will feel confident in providing treatment and assessment for pediatric clients and/or providing services to adults with early stage memory loss. In addition to direct clinical supervision and conducting student site visits, the candidate will also assist the Clinical Director in administrative duties which may include but are not limited to monitoring of clinical clock hours, providing student feedback, maintaining email correspondence, externship outreach and new affiliation recruitment. The candidate will also be responsible for teaching clinical and professional course work.

The master's in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) at the Katz School at YU is one of the few SLP programs in the country specializing in the medical aspect of speech-language pathology. Our SLP M.S. program takes a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosing and treating speech, language, and communication cases. Through our hands-on curriculum, students engage in clinical fieldwork each semester and practical, hands-on experience under the guidance of faculty, supervisors, and mentors.

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Applicants must carry and demonstrate proof of a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, and hold membership with the American Speech Language Hearing Association and New York State licensure.
  • Previous teaching experience at the graduate level.
  • Clinical experience working with patients across the lifespan.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Weekday availability during business hours.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with and mentor graduate students and clinical supervisors.
  • Must be licensed as a SLP in New York state.
  • Must have a valid ASHA certification.
