Position Summary:
|
The Associate Director of Field Education collaborates with the Director in overseeing all aspects of the field work department. This includes but is not limited to interacting with, supporting and supervising field placement staff in New York face to face, on-line programs, Sara Schenirer, Block program in Canada, Israel and the U.S, supervising and supporting administrative staff, developing and implementing SIFI curriculum, field seminar curriculum, school assigned field instructor training, staff training, student orientation, implementing TK20, developing agency relationships, monitoring affiliation agreements, conducting periodic site visits to Canada and Israel, fiscal management. Works with first and second year MSW students in planning field placements and placing in field agencies, overseeing the quality of student placements, and planning programs for field educators and students.

Position Responsibilities:

Supervision, Administration, and Management Working with the Director of Field Education, The Associate Director will collaborate on:

- Supervising and supporting administrative staff
- Developing and implementing SIFI curriculum
- Implementing field seminar curriculum
- Implementing school assigned field instructor training
- Staff training
- Student orientation
- Implementing TK20
- Monitoring affiliation agreements
- Conducting periodic site visits to Canada and Israel
- Creating and implementing processes and systems as needed for program growth
- Fiscal management
Field Placement Process for MSW students
- Work with first and second year MSW students in planning field placements at their local geographic area
- Facilitate field seminar cohort
- Conduct outreach to agencies to develop and design field placements
Curriculum and Education
- Teach On-line Seminar in Field Instruction (SIFI)
- Serve as a member of Wurzweiler Field Work Committee
- Review competency based field work evaluations
- Serve as committee member to other faculty/administration joint committees
New York Area Field Educators
- Serve as Wurzweiler representative to the NY Area field educators committee
