Work Schedule:

M-F, 8am-2pm or 11am-5pm

Rate of Pay:

 

This is a Part-Time Support Staff position at grade 9, with an hourly pay rate of $16.64 to $19.18. The offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College’s compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable.

Job Summary:

An employee in this classification performs work of routine difficulty by providing child care services and completing required documentation. Work is distinguished by the ability to provide a safe environment . Work is performed under direct supervision of the manager and/or director.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
2. Child care experience and knowledge of child development.
3. The ability to communicate with children and parents.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1. A working knowledge of Department of Children and Family Services licensing standards and center policies.

Essential Duties:

1. Establish and maintain direct supervision of the children to ensure a safe and developmentally appropriate environment at all times.
2. Maintain a safe, clean environment to foster learning and development.
3. Provide routine care for children of different ages.
4. Assist with completing required documentation.
5. Assist in classroom and materials preparation.

Other Duties:

1. Perform other job-related duties as assigned which pertain to the job description.
2. Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes days/evenings/weekends as needed by the department.
